# Zone

> Synthetic nodes that represent privilege zones in BloodHound Enterprise graph data.

![Applies to BloodHound Enterprise only](https://mintcdn.com/specterops/tTIczgde9H07oLXf/assets/enterprise-edition-pill-tag.svg?fit=max\&auto=format\&n=tTIczgde9H07oLXf\&q=85\&s=b682a26b342bde12302ec829e265bdb6)

## Representation

The **Zone** node is a synthetic node that represents a [privilege zone](https://bloodhound.specterops.io/analyze-data/privilege-zones/overview.md) in the BloodHound Enterprise graph. It does not represent an object collected from an environment. BloodHound Enterprise creates one Zone node for each privilege-zone asset group tag during analysis and connects the zone's members to it with [`MemberOfZone`](https://bloodhound.specterops.io/resources/edges/member-of-zone) relationships.

BloodHound Enterprise uses Zone nodes to measure the shortest path from a finding's target principal to Tier Zero for [Findings Prioritization](https://bloodhound.specterops.io/analyze-data/findings/table-view.md#prioritize-findings). You can also use the nodes as destinations in Cypher queries.

> [!NOTE]
>
> Zone nodes are generated when Findings Prioritization is enabled. Disabling the feature removes the Zone nodes and their `MemberOfZone` relationships during the next analysis run.

## Node properties

The following properties identify the represented privilege zone and its source asset group tag.

| Database | Description |
| - | - |
| `objectid` | Generated identifier in the format `zone:<asset_group_tag_id>`. |
| `name` | Name of the privilege zone. |
| `displayname` | Display name of the privilege zone. |
| `zone` | Graph kind associated with the privilege zone's asset group tag, such as `Tag_Tier_Zero`. |
| `asset_group_tag_id` | Internal identifier of the asset group tag represented by the node. |

## Edges

Zone nodes use [`MemberOfZone`](https://bloodhound.specterops.io/resources/edges/member-of-zone) relationships to connect each current zone member to the synthetic zone representation.
